The main themes for February are Power and Transformation.
Everything that happens this month will be powerful. Anything you do or
experience will be powerful and have more depth to it than usual.
Events will result in upheaval and chaos that will either derail you or give you just the opportunity you need for change and transformation. There are two eclipses this month providing even more intensity to the process. Struggle and suffering could be intensified as well as success, movement and growth. The gap widens between the lower and higher vibrations possible for your personal experiences. Where you end up will be entirely up to you, your spiritual disciplines and your ability to transform and change patterns of a lower vibration in your life. The instinctive center is in the driver’s seat and on a focused road trip, taking you to the very depth of your foundational blueprint and pattern of operation. This is the opportunity to change on the deepest level possible. The theme of power also brings up issues related to power. The eclipses will set the stage to work with power in a new and more potent way. Sometimes to access power, something has to break down or to crack open in order for a greater energy to become accessible. This process may cause upheaval and discomfort in the normal routines. Think of yourself as having growing pains. The opportunity this month is to stretch and broaden your container of how much energy you can hold and work with. It is a time to dream big and to separate from the collective consciousness of limitation and lack. Anything is possible this month but it will take courage to step outside the box. There will be those who will succumb to fear and play it out in self-destructive ways. There will also be those who will persist in denial in the face of change. This stubbornness breeds a brittleness that will eventually cause a breakdown. Telling the truth, facing the truth and surrendering to the truth will open your spirit up to being able to receive the power available to you. Forces and events will turn things upside down so that the underbelly of what has been holding the collective thought patterns will be exposed. Your own underbelly of your negative thoughts, addictions, self-destructive habits and dysfunctional situations will be exposed and evaluated for truth. What you do with the truth will be up to you. However, if you do not take this opportunity to step up to the plate and embrace the transformation and power available, you will likely slide in the other direction. There is no staying in neutral this month. The instinctive center has a strong moving centered component that insures nothing will stagnate. Your intentions of how you use this acceleration will determine where you end up. Beware of fear, ambivalence, and other people’s drama. They will drag you down into lower frequencies. One of the biggest lessons of the month is learning how to cut yourself off from that which does not allow you to reach for your own evolutionary potential. It will be painful to leave certain situations behind that you cannot save or fix. The ruthless truth is that you will serve others better by allowing yourself to move forward, and not by staying behind to keep the misery of others company. Everyone has their own karmic process and their own timing. Pay attention to yours and take the bids for power that come up for you even if it may mean leaving certain situations behind. This is a do or die month and it will take a certain amount of courage to navigate it. You will need to be extra disciplined to keep to your intentions and decisions. The main thing to remember is to make decisions based on what is best for you and not best for others and then to be disciplined about keeping to them. Another focus this month is the aspect of forgiveness. Regardless of what gets uncovered in your own underbelly or the underbelly of others, either personally or collectively, it is important to be in compassion and forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there can be no forward movement. No matter how horrific something looks, how much you resist the dysfunctional and historic abuse of power, be in compassion and forgiveness. This will open the door to your own transformation as well as the opportunity to access more personal power. There is a great opportunity to change collectively the karmic history of the abuse of power. This will start with each individual who steps up to the plate and does their own work. Opportunities: To step up to the plate and make your bids for power To transform all of your negative habits and addictions into practices of power To uncover deep instinctive patterns that have kept you limited in your ability to expand and grow and then to forgive them, change them and move on To access a freedom from negativity and lower frequency patterns To expand your container of what you can dream, intend and experience To finally move out of a constipated, constricted place into a place of powerful potential of manifesting Challenges: Staying out of self-destructive behavior Staying out of other peoples suffering and drama Staying out of lower frequency energy Coping with the intensity of experience without judgment Being ruthless about extricating yourself from situations that do not serve Being disciplined and courageous, saying no when necessary, putting yourself first and doing what you know you need to in order to grow and transform PERSONAL GROWTH AND WELL-BEING This month provides an opportunity for growth like never before. However, it may be difficult to navigate the intensity of what it takes to get there. It will take courage and discipline and compassion and forgiveness. It will take staying on the path no matter how hard it is. It will take saying no to people and situations you know are not good for you. And it will take being able to face your fears, your demons, and your human downfalls. All of this translates to a bid for power and will provide a new foundation for your well-being if you can manage to go the distance. RELATIONSHIPS This is a hard one as many relationships people have are either karmic or not balanced. If you are in any relationship that is not serving you or where you are enabling a dysfunction or a dysfunctional habit either in yourself or in another, that relationship is vulnerable to the breakage supported by the influences this month. Relationships of all kinds will need to be evaluated, whether they are with people or with aspects of life such as work, food, money, addictions, nature, habits, disciplines, spiritual practices etc. A bid for power in relationship is to confront any dysfunction and take the relationship to a new level of intimacy and depth. There is a great opportunity for transformation in the relationship arena this month but it will come with a price as some relationships will need to die and others will need to be developed into greater intimacy. The key is to evaluate whether or not a relationship is causing you to suffer. If there is suffering involved, think seriously about making a shift of some kind. BUSINESS, FINANCE, PROJECTS AND PARTNERSHIPS If you are involved in a relationship that feels compromised or a work situation that feels incompatible, you may find that it self-destructs, throwing you first into upheaval and then into a freedom of choice that is frightening and exhilarating at the same time. Partnerships will either break apart or move to the next level. Projects have the opportunity for powerful support when they are aligned with spirit. Business will not follow any rules from the past. The opportunity is to create new rules and new ways of doing business, and then trusting that you can make it happen. This is a month to dream big and to move outside the box in terms of what is possible. Beware of buying into collective beliefs of scarcity and do not believe everything you hear or read. You decide how it will be for you. There is great opportunity for transforming your relationship with money, eliminating scarcity and moving into a place of more abundance in your life. On the other hand, if you are overly dependent, attached or addicted, you may have hard lessons around loss. PERSONAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING Since the instinctive center translates to the way the physical body manifests itself, any issue that needs to be evaluated and transformed will tend to show up physically. You may feel a lot of mystery aches and pains in joints, muscles and bones. Especially be careful of lungs and respiratory issues. The lungs represent how you take in and give out. Use your breath to expand how much you receive and give. Any congestion in the lungs is usually related to old grief, old attachments and a difficulty in letting go. If your lungs are congested, you are probably in need of letting go of something. Just remember that everything this month is more intense, giving you the opportunity to move through conditions more quickly. CLIMATE, WEATHER AND THE ENVIRONMENT Be prepared for more intensity in all aspects of weather and climate. The upheaval quality of the month could be an influence on the weather, on your plans, and on anything that depends on the climate and environment. Mother nature shows her power and you can either honor and enjoy it, or be in fear and resistance. Acknowledging and appreciating the power makes it available for your access. Learn to work with the environment rather than against it. Climate in this case is more than just the physical weather of nature. It relates to the climate in any environment. Look to home, work and social environment to be more intense this month. POLITICS, GLOBAL ISSUES AND THE ECONOMY The biggest lesson here is the awareness that you cannot go at it alone any longer. There will be events, issues and situations that are too big to handle individually. The community aspect of this year steps up to the plate with an awareness of the power of doing things collectively and building community. This goes for global economy, political strategies, and getting important things accomplished that need to be addressed. It could be that the stimulus for these lessons and insights comes from major events that initially cause tremendous upheaval and chaos and destruction. However the outcome will be a greater cooperation and community involvement. It is time to move away from the individualist attitude and more towards building community as a way of the future. Community efforts will be greatly rewarded. IMPORTANT DATES February 1-7: What needs to be transformed will surface. This is a time for truth telling and making commitments for disciplines of change. Tread the tightrope of power gently. Be careful not to react instinctively to the illusions of power that are false. Look instead to where true power can teach you something, such as in nature or looking to your own talents and connection to spirit. Remind yourself in a daily practice that you have the power to create, to heal, to manifest, to love, to forgive, to connect, to transform and change, and to live your life the way you want. This is an important time for setting the stage for taking advantage of the intensity and power becoming available later in the month. If you are still clearing out what does not serve, continue to be disciplined about that process. February 6: New moon with a partial solar eclipse at 8:44 PM Mountain Standard Time. (The actual center of the eclipse is a couple of hours earlier). This marks the beginning of a time of increased intensity where anything and everything will be more intense and powerful. Therefore it is imperative that you set the intention up to make positive use of the opportunity for transformation, change and personal empowerment. Remember that change and transformation means that your life moves in a way to offer you a different and fuller experience rather than keeping things the way they are. Since there will be strong movement, make sure the movement is forwards instead of backwards. February 8-14: A time of navigating upheaval. Stay focused on your goals. See everything as good, every experience as moving you towards growth. Be inspired and excited rather than in dread and waiting for the other shoe to drop. Be proactive with the attitude of choosing what is going on rather than being at the effect of it. Appreciate the chaos and the upheaval as a powerful agent of change and transformation. Be in acceptance of changes that you find painful or difficult. Remember to breathe and connect with your community and sources of support. February 15-21: A time of stretching your container, making your bids for power, going against the status quo, reaching for a new dream, trusting in your intuition and your personal abilities, and taking the initiative to act with courage and intention in the face of negative and limited thinking of others. This is the time to make a move, leave your current job or a certain relationship. Fully commit yourself before dreaming of doing. A bid for power is never a sort-of or a half-way event. You either do or you don’t. There is no “try”, only “do”. With that in mind, make sure you can follow through with your intentions and decisions. And then ask spirit for help. February 20: Full moon with a total lunar eclipse at 8:31 PM Mountain Standard Time. (Exact center of the eclipse is a couple of hours earlier) This marks an anchor for your bid for power. The time provides an opportunity to define where you are in your process. You will either define your life as falling apart, miserable, abandoned, down in the cesspool of your own demons, or you will define it as being in another place entirely; with more power, hope, inspiration, joy, creativity and manifestation. It is up to you. During this time, your thoughts have tremendous weight. If you think negatively, you likely will manifest negativity and challenge. If you think positively, your life will be full of joy and creativity. Make a commitment to bring a higher frequency into all that you manifest. February 22-29: You will either be riding high on recent personal power and higher centered experiences, or you will be struggling with your own demons. The main thing to remember is to stay out of judgment. If you fall off the horse, forgive yourself with compassion and get back on. Those who are basking in greater expansion and freedom, do not take it for granted. You will need to stay vigilant, awake, present and disciplined. Beware of the temptations of sliding back down into the collective fear and anticipation of doom. Misery does love company but you should always decline the invitation. You may be judged by others to be cold, ruthless and uncaring. There will be those that will begrudge you your newfound power and success. Do not let yourself slide into their drama just to be more acceptable. Look to like-minded souls for your community. Your hard choices of the last few weeks will begin to show their rewards.
