For tens of thousands of years shamans and mystics have alluded to a life force that they say penetrates and flows through the physical universe giving it animation and power. Of course conventional science does not recognize this type of energy but science’s acknowledgement of it is immaterial considering that anyone practicing shamanic techniques or high forms of martial arts experiences it without a shadow of a doubt. There are innumerable names for this force, Num, Chi, and Ka to name a few. Here we will refer to it by its Chinese name Chi, a foundational force that has certain properties and qualities useful to understand if you are interested in increasing it. Think of Chi as kind of a bridge between the physicality of this universe and the world of Spirit as shamans allude to it.

We have already discussed how shamans and mystics discover how to erase
the nightmare world of Self Importance in order to walk in a world of
freedom and power. This article is a continuation and an extension of
those ideas.
The Nature of the Mind
The mind is the tool that Spirit uses to extend itself throughout the
cosmos. The mind then is the creative tool of spirit, infinitely
powerful and capable of creating entire universes in a twinkling of an
eye. This mind is impressionable to intention, will, and belief. Each
human being participates in using this mind, having access to
ever-greater portions of it as they awaken to essence. Most humans are
not awake but rather in a deep trance or state of asleep-ness sedated
by the false personality that has hijacked them temporarily. While
under its influence they are under the delusion they are separate,
isolated, moving under their own steam so to speak, and totally
vulnerable to danger. Even under this influence people have access to
the mind, however what they use it for is to make up the dreams of
false personality, more suffering, more isolation, more distraction,
more delusions that lead to nowhere good in the long run.

Fundamentally, at the essence level, human beings have always been free
to choose their identities, their realities, and their life paths from
life to life. However due to consistent immaturity, all human beings
make a series of terrible choices along the way and end up suffering
intense consequences. Sometimes they have fun and enjoy themselves but
these are always contrasted by misery, abandonment, entrapment,
sickness, and death. Gradually they learn how to manage better, learn
to love more, and accept life a little more but they still remain
enslaved by their thoughts, their fears, and their feeling of
separation. This lasts a very long time in human terms but with proper
training and perseverance, awakening from this state of affairs can be
speeded up. Eventually all humans encounter the shamanic path or a
similar mystic one that begins to help them navigate the often
treacherous waters of physical life. Here I will refer to shamanic
training but keep in mind that there are various paths with the same
goal in mind, some more effective than others.

While fire has more to do with purification, cleansing and
transformation, wind has more to do with sweeping in the new, opening
to receive, carrying away the old, and energizing with power.
