Global Meditation : The Aftermath PDF Print E-mail
On July 17, 2007 at 5:11 a.m. MDT millions of people around the world sat for one hour focusing their intent on the healing of themselves, humanity and the world. More people ever in the recorded history of this planet focused on one thing, at the same time.

This huge underground grass roots global awakening, based on Shelley Yates' vision, "Fire The Grid", was building for decades all around the planet with over 500,000 organizations supporting this event.

Now one would think that, with this kind of concentration coming from so many people at once, peace, happiness, and tranquility would perhaps become an instant reality for all the people on Earth; wars would come to an end, violence everywhere would stop, and cooperation would spring to life everywhere on the planet.

However those who expect these instant results are doomed to disappointment and fail to understand the nature of such powerful influential processes.  Let us here discuss the probable fall out to this big meditative event. By now you are all familiar with the fact that we live in an intense window of extraordinary planetary change and that the frequency on this planet is increasing with each month. The sun is changing, the earth is heating up, the planets in the solar system are all going through extraordinary changes, and the consciousness of the people on Earth is being subject to great pressures as Spiritual influences are brought to bear. As a result many people are waking up all over the world with a desire to pull together to change the status quo and move the world in a more sane direction.

However let us consider a few facts. When the highway department decides to upgrade a road or repave a segment of highway we all groan because we know what happens for a few days, weeks, or months. The highway becomes a mess, a snarled area of detours, traffic, and confusion. When you remodel your kitchen the same is true. Anyone who has lived with remodeling knows the process is not pretty and there are bound to be grumpy days as everything is dismantled and dust flies. Eventually there is a nice new kitchen or roadway and everyone is happy with results if it is done properly.

Well, consider the planet to be early in the remodeling process, not almost finished. When everyone sits down to meditate together at this stage it is like calling in the wrecking crew, appropriate but intense. The immediate results of course will not be wonderful. In fact there is likely to be an intensification of the old habits as the forces of resistance to change dig in for defense. The false personality influences that have ruled this planet for so long will not give up without a fight as exemplified by the fact that the morning of the meditation the Dow Jones, that bastion of the old economic system that makes the corporation king on this planet, broke 14,000 for the first time. Meanwhile earthquakes in Japan have cracked a nuclear power facility, the war in Iraq continues unabated, the administration of the United States continues its destructive ways, and the old cold war between the USA and Russia reawakens ominously.

Many people, upon seeing things get worse instead of better, will become discouraged and feel that they had no effect whatsoever but nothing could be further from the truth. Huge concentrations of people focusing their minds together do have a powerful effect and will intensify the processes of change but first will come the ugliness and then will come the beauty. Don’t be surprised if there is more so called "bad news" in the coming months and increasing toward the end of the year and into 2008. The wrecking crew is arriving and going to work. Do not be discouraged but rather be heartened. There will be dust galore, noise, and disruption leading to some major inconveniences. Do not regard this as negative or disastrous in any way. It is temporary.

Remember that the condition of the world is the way it is because each one of us projected it to be so over millennia. Thus it is the responsibility of each one of us to clean up the mess by cleaning up our projections. This takes no time for Spirit but will take some time for us to experience on the physical level. Just realize that in the biggest picture it has already been accomplished and we are already enjoying a transformed experience. What it looks like to us now is a lot of dust flying.

Continue to clear out personal negativity and focus on whatever brings you personal joy and well-being. Meanwhile, strongly intend that this well-being be shared by all people, plants, and animals everywhere. Realize that all destructiveness and pain is but a mere darkness that vanishes with the switching on of the light. Make a daily practice of forgiveness for the mess and foster gratitude for what is good. Above all avoid the indulgence in feeling despair and anger at “them” or “they” who are “bad” and the desire to punish which is just another version of vengefulness and projection. There is no they or them. Be glad when someone who was asleep wakes up and smells the coffee. That’s one less part of our own mind to awaken.
