Nature Solo Retreat
June 2-6, 2024
Recognizing the importance of solo time in nature, The Power Path offers a solo retreat once or twice every year. We began offering this opportunity when we acquired our land in Northern New Mexico in 1994 and have done so ever since. Following the ancient shamanic tradition of spending ongoing alone time in nature and the tradition of the mystics to fast and isolate themselves in nature for meditation and prayer, we make this experience available for a wide variety of people.
Immersion Into Cross-Cultural Shamanism Retreat

Join Jose and Lena along with renowned shamanic teachers from Ireland, John Cantwell and Dr Karen Ward, for a true immersion into practices, teachings and experiences bringing ancient wisdom from the Celtic and Toltec traditions. The retreat will be held on a powerful piece of land in Northern New Mexico where the natural environment will enhance the experiential aspect of the teachings and shamanic processes. This is a unique offering that promises to be informative, transformative, powerful, healing, and loads of fun. The community aspect of these retreats is always nourishing as well as the nurturing nature of the land itself.
Celtic Shamanism Workshop

For two special days in June, the tradition and lineage of those who hear Ireland’s sacred voice is brought by two of the country’s renown shamanic teachers, husband and wife, Dr Karen Ward and John Cantwell. For over twenty years, they have co-directed Slí An Chroí, (pronounced ‘Schlee On Khree’) translated as Pathway of the Heart, a traditional way of knowing Ireland’s ancestral shamanic heritage. Slí An Chroí is respected nationally and internationally as a training and healing school sharing directly from the island of Ériu, Ireland’s native Celtic soulfulness.
Inner Shaman retreat

The Inner Shaman retreat gets its name from Jose’s book “Awaken the Inner Shaman: A Guide to the Power Path of the Heart.” This annual in person retreat takes place at our 1000 acre ranch in northern New Mexico and has covered a wide range of topics about shamanic practice over the years. Each year, the focus is on a unique and specific aspect of shamanic understanding, techniques and practices that includes much more than the original book. Participants describe the retreat as fun, social, interactive, informational, and life transforming. Many come year after year to enjoy the beauty of our 1000 acre ranch land and learn more about the shamanic path.
