Full Moon Update 7-1-15

Print this page

Dear Friends,

Full Moon is Wednesday, July 1, at 8:19 PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).

This full moon may bring about a feeling of being overwhelmed by all that is not “right” in your life and therefore a good time to take a break from it all to do something for yourself that is nurturing, loving and peaceful. You should use this moon to honor yourself with gratitude for all that you have accomplished in your life and to be in acceptance of whatever is showing up for you at this time.

This moon launches the month and will initiate the “growing pains” so it is best to start the month off in a place of honoring self, acceptance of what is, and neutrality around what others are going through. Be inspired by something today and make sure to be physically active as well. This will put your heart mind, and body in the right place.

Capricorn Full Moon

Sun in Cancer ~ Moon in Capricorn 10º

Wednesday, July 1, 2015 8:19 PM Mountain Time

(Thursday, July 2, 2:19 AM Greenwich Mean Time)

There’s power, challenge and action embedded in this Full Moon. Big players are Mars, Pluto, Sun, Moon. Mars is now in Cancer traveling with the Sun, and Pluto is traveling with the Full Moon. The Sun and the Moon are squaring the North/South nodes. It’s an invitation to a work party! And YOU are the project.

The Sun and Moon forming a Grand Square with the Nodes in the cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) is pretty much a mandate. Crisis or Opportunity. Your choice. There’s a tendency to feel pushed and pulled with a configuration like this.

With Pluto aligned with Moon in Capricorn, the practice is how to show up for your responsibilities, lean in to your maturity, eliminate what stands in the way of what you want to build in your life, and empower your own inner authority. With transformative Pluto aligned with the Moon you have an opportunity to get very clear on what your long-standing unmet emotional needs are and you can bring some extremely powerful emotional change into your life right now especially with Sun/Mars raring to take on action on a new front. If you find yourself reacting emotionally like a child, Pluto/Moon has you in mind for an emotional makeover. Moon-based remodeling of the psyche can come in the form of mother/father family issues, home repairs, power struggles with women, stomach/digestion difficulties, or your relationship with food and self nourishment.

The Sun in Cancer only gives this Pluto/Moon more permission to activate your emotional remodel. Mars with the Sun in Cancer says, ‘Come on; get on with it. Create some new powerful, self-affirming habits for this new frequency we find our selves in.’

Pluto can precipitate big endings and completions, but keep in mind right behind transformation is always the door releasing great creativity and personal power. Go with that part of Self that is willing to let go, that feels the uplift of expansive change; go for the higher game. Yes, it can be unsettling to the habitual, emotional (lazy) self but this is where growth lives just beyond the comfort zone.

Who is in the helping ally role here? Neptune in water sign Pisces is in positive relationship to both the Sun and Moon. Your embracing of all that you are experiencing with acceptance and compassion is what will move gridlock forward. Our toolbox includes our colorful imaginations, our intuitive messages, the wisdom that comes from silence, our dreams and visions, and help from the invisible worlds.

Jupiter conjunct Venus

Tell me you are watching Jupiter and Venus in the western sky after sunset. What a sight this brilliant pairing of the masculine and feminine. They are conjunct at 21º Leo at this Full Moon time and will be again in early August and late October. In August, Venus will leave her reign as evening star and begin her underworld journey and emerge later in August refreshed as the morning star in the early dawn sky and begin her close dance with Mars. Venus’ retrograde will keep her near to Jupiter for much of the summer. Bask in their brilliant light and their connection to abundance, expansion, and connection to greater social wisdom.

Venus and Jupiter are trined by Uranus, so it’s an anything can happen time. Use this time to free your heart’s desire, invite in romance, express the pure joy of your unique self, and let exuberance and playful pleasure rule.

Stimulation of spring eclipses

From now until Cancer New Moon on July 15, 14º of the cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) will be repeatedly stimulated. The lunar eclipse that took place last spring at 14º Libra/Aries just after the March equinox will be re-activated as Pluto and then the Sun square that exact degree. Then to keep life interesting, Mars and Mercury will also square the eclipse point from 14º Cancer right about New Moon on July 15th. More Mars opposing Pluto (at 14º) like we have in this chart continues also at next New Moon in case you need extra time for your emotional remodeling project. We may revisit any unfinished issues originated at that powerful spring eclipse package. Or, we may experience a welcomed boost to something started then taking it to the next level.

I just can’t resist pointing at all the big social-political breakthroughs (healthcare, gay rights, racism) in the news this week that, I think, could be classified as the ‘Big Events/Big Changes’ that were suggested might be coming down the pike as the spring solar eclipse/equinox point got stimulated in just the same way the lunar eclipse point is about to be twanged.

What powerful and exciting times we’re living in!
