“Wellness and Empowerment”
This is a very special offering, a powerful retreat for women focused on wellness and reclaiming personal power. This deeply nurturing and healing retreat will be a transformative time supported by Shamanic processes to clear and reset old patterns including ancestral ones, anchor healthy practices that support wellness, reclaim personal power from past experiences, and establish new strong rules, boundaries and connection to personal authenticity and purpose. We will also explore the energies of the dark and light feminine and masculine and how best to manifest them in balance and harmony.
Included will be yoga, movement, breath work, shamanic journeying and other experiential practices, as well as an exploration of the 4 stages in life, childhood, youth, adult and elder, and how they have either empowered you or disempowered you. You will have an opportunity for tremendous healing and resetting your life on a new trajectory. We will also be joined by an acupuncturist from the Chinese medicine tradition, Janice (JP) Poloway, that will provide some excellent self-care wisdom to support your wellness practices.
Optional acupuncture treatments and massage therapy will be available at an additional cost. A traditional Temescal sweat lodge is included as well as optional nearby shopping trips.
In addition to the great transformative work, you will have plenty of free time to walk on the beach, swim in the ocean, kayak to a nearby cove, explore the jungle, hang out in a hammock, nap and visit with each other. Most of the class time will be held in a very large and exquisite yoga studio overlooking the ocean.
The retreat will be held an hour north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and near the little town of San Francisco (San Pancho), in a small private rustic beach resort we have used for many years. The space is nurturing, private and powerful. We have the resort to ourselves and will be well supported by the staff and the environment.
The food is fresh and fabulous, the well water drinkable out of every faucet, and being with like-minded people is very nurturing. Accommodations are by double rooms and triple cabins. There are no single rooms. Not suitable for anyone with mobility or serious dietary issues.
Meals are cooked on site, with fresh ingredients (and the best homemade corn tortillas made daily you will ever taste). The kitchen can accommodate gluten-free, dairy free and vegetarians. The kitchen cannot accommodate food allergies to commonly used ingredients such as corn, onions, garlic, tomato, peppers, citrus, vinegar, eggs and common Mexican spices. It is not an option to bring your own food (other than snacks) due to lack of available refrigeration and storage. There is always a good supply of fresh fruit as well as fresh fish at almost every meal.
The nearest airport is Puerto Vallarta (PVR) and we will schedule several pick-up times on the afternoon of the 30th by suburban taxi to bring you to the resort. The retreat starts once everyone has arrived on the 30th with dinner and an evening program. So please make sure your flight arrives by 3PM at the latest if possible. Later arrivals may need to book your own transportation to the resort. Check in time is 3PM for those coming in from any local areas by your own car or taxi (no earlier please). We will officially end with an evening program on February 5th for those of you with early flights the next day. If your flight is any earlier than 11:00 AM you may need to arrange for a private taxi as the first one usually leaves at around 8 AM. Check out time is by 11AM on February 5th for those extending their stay in the area.

A $500 deposit will hold your space, and is non-refundable and non transferable at the time of registration. $2379 Balance is due on December 10, 2024. Neither credits nor refunds can be given for this retreat. We recommend purchasing travel insurance in case you cannot attend for any reason, and we have had good experience with both TravelGuard (www.travelguard.com) and Aardy (www.aardy.com). Travel suggestions and a packing list will be sent upon confirmed registration with paid deposit. Space is limited. Price does not include special drinks, tips for the boat and the resort staff, transportation other than the scheduled vans, or your airfare to and from Mexico.
